Alaska State Quarter Horse Association

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all, whether you are contemplating becoming a member or one of our current members. If you own, would like to own, or just want to get involved with quarter horses, Alaska State Quarter Horse Association is your link to participation in a wide variety of activities. We offer youth programs, educational seminars, trail rides that raise money to benefit the horse industry worldwide, AQHA approved shows, and year-end awards. ASQHA can connect you to 4-H programs, and other horse organizations. We have raised money for local/state charities such as Therapeutic Riding here in Alaska and the Alaska families of the Ronald McDonald House.

Our list of activities continues to grow. Check out our list of show. You will find all the forms and all other information on our website.

Our Mission

It is the mission of ASQHA to provide opportunities for youth, amateur and professional horsemen of the State of Alaska to gain first hand knowledge of the suitability and adaptability of the American Quarter Horse through venues and beneficial services such as marketing, promotion, advertising and publicity. Above all, ASQHA encourages sportsmanship and family values, as well as the lasting friendships through participation in these activities. The humane and dignified treatment of the American Quarter Horse by owners, trainers, and exhibitors in encouraged at all times.

Our vision is to be the leader of the quarter horse name in the state of Alaska, providing its voice to protect and promote the American Quarter Horse, and horses of all breeds, to their fullest potential.

I invite you to become a member of our organization to take full advantage of all we have to offer. Again, welcome to our association. Enjoy the ride!

Sincerely,

Edith J. Sands ASQHA President
